FAQs

What exactly does a "Shared Houseboat" mean? Will I have my own private space?
A shared houseboat means you book an individual bedroom within a larger, multi-room vessel (typically ranging from 2 to 5 bedrooms). You get complete privacy inside your own fully furnished bedroom with an attached modern bathroom. Only the common areas—such as the front lounge, dining space, and the open upper deck—are shared with other travelers onboard.
Is a shared houseboat cruise safe for couples and solo female travelers?
Absolutely. Every shared houseboat operates with a professional, verified 3-member crew (Captain, Engine Driver, and Chef) who remain onboard throughout the entire journey. Bedrooms are equipped with secure locks, and the shared environment naturally offers an added layer of community security.
What is the average cost, and what does the price include?
Shared houseboats are the most budget-friendly way to experience the backwaters. Prices generally start around ₹4,999 to ₹5,999 per couple per night for a Deluxe room during standard seasons.
Can we accommodate an extra adult or a child in a single shared room?
Rooms are primarily designed for double occupancy (2 adults). However, most boats allow one extra person per room for an additional charge (typically ₹1,000 to ₹1,500), and an extra mattress will be provided.
