Houseboats In Alleppey Day And Night Cruice / Alleppey & Kumarakom backwater packages.
FAQs
What is the difference between a Day Cruise and an Overnight Stay?
Day Cruise: Usually runs for 5 to 6 hours (typically 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM). It gives you a great taste of the backwaters without committing to a night on the water. It includes a welcome drink, lunch, and evening tea with snacks.
Can we cruise late into the night?
No. Government regulations strictly ban all motorized houseboats from moving between 5:30 PM and 7:30 AM. This rule allows local fishermen to cast their nets across the lakes and narrow canals without danger. Around 5:30 PM, your boat will anchor securely at a scenic village riverbank or lake edge for the night.
Can we request vegetarian, Jain, or specific seafood?
Yes, absolutely. You must inform your booking operator about vegetarian, or Jain food preferences before you board so the chef can buy the right ingredients.
Will we have to share the boat with other tourists?
No, standard houseboat bookings are strictly exclusive. When you book a 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, or larger boat, it belongs entirely to your group. The only other people on board will be your dedicated 3-member crew: the Captain, the Oarsman, and the Chef.
